DNB expands list of 5G devices with POCO F4 GT, Samsung Galaxy A & S22 Series, vivo X80


POCO F4 GT recently debuted in Malaysia, with the status of the most affordable Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone to date in our market. Not only that, Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) has also confirmed that the new phone is capable of supporting its 5G network.

In general, Xiaomi leads the way when it comes to ensuring its phones are capable of supporting Malaysia’s 5G network. In fact, the POCO F4 GT is actually the 21st model from Xiaomi and the sixth POCO phone to join DNB’s list of 5G devices.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is now also part of the list. Specifically, all three models in the family, including the standard S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra, are now able to connect to the DNB 5G network.


On the other hand, 5G-enabled Galaxy A 2022 models including Galaxy A73, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A33 have also made their way into the list. Previously, only Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra supported DNB’s 5G network.

Finally, DNB has also added vivo X80 and X80 Pro which was just launched in Malaysia yesterday in its list. At the moment, one can only connect to the 5G network using the Yes 5G SIM card which is currently available as a prepaid plan of RM30 per month or RM49 per month if you prefer a postpaid plan instead.
