Knightscope Bags 22 Device College Contract

Knightscope, Inc. (NASDAQ: KSCP), a developer of autonomous security robots, has won a new contract at a Florida college for 22 of its K1 Blue Light Towers.

What happened? In addition to 13 previously upgraded emergency call systems, the college will replace older hard-wired towers on two separate campuses, using Knightscope’s cellular and satellite communications with solar power to keep students, faculty and staff safe. additional visitors when away from campus buildings. .

Why is it important? The contract is a breakthrough in achieving the four cornerstones of campus security that administrators and managers should strive for: communication, prevention, mobilization and apprehension.

Due to limited budgets and staffing shortages, schools are ill-equipped to tackle many campus safety challenges head-on.

Knightscope technologies can solve the problem and fill the staffing gap at a lower cost. This is Knightscope’s first announced sale in conjunction with its recent acquisition of CASE Emergency Systems.

Price Action: Shares of KSCP closed down 0.95% at $3.12 on Monday.
