New Delhi says secularism for some people is a ‘political artifice’ of deception to grab votes, but for the BJP it’s an ‘inclusive development’ project, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas said on Saturday Naqvi. Addressing a ‘Jan Chaupal’ and other ‘Samajik Nyay Pakhwada’ programs in Haryana’s ambitious Nuh district, the Minority Affairs Minister said some ‘fringe elements’ were conspiring to disrupt the fabric of communal harmony in society by spreading “fear” as they are frustrated with the positive atmosphere of peace and prosperity under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Modi government of ‘iqbal (authority), insaaf (justice) and imaan (integrity)’ has replaced politics of the privileged with ‘prominence of the people’, senior official says of the BJP.

Social harmony is the door to the successful journey of “inclusive empowerment”, he said in a statement from his office.

For some people, secularism is a “political artifice” of deception to grab votes, but for the BJP, it is an “inclusive development” project, Naqvi said.

Secularism is a “commitment to harmony and coexistence” and not a “political path”, he said.

Some people want to weaken the strength of India’s unity in diversity and the strength of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ by their ‘conspiracy’, the minister said, adding that ‘we must not allow any such elements to succeed”.

Some “fringe elements are restless and frustrated” due to the positive atmosphere of peace and prosperity under Prime Minister Modi, Naqvi said.

These people conspire to disrupt the fabric of social and communal harmony in society by spreading fear and lies, he said.

“We must work together to defeat those elements who want to sow confusion and confrontation in society,” he said.

Modi made ordinary people a “valuable partner in progress and prosperity” by removing “harmful caste and community policies”, Naqvi said.

Prime Minister Modi has worked with a commitment of “decision with delivery” to ensure the socio-economic and educational empowerment of all sections of society over the past eight years, he said.

Naqvi said India’s economy has passed several milestones under Modi’s effective and dynamic leadership.

Despite the global economic crisis, India has reached the historic merchandise export target of $400 billion in March 2022, he noted.

During his visit to Nuh, Naqvi also interacted with BJP workers and reviewed the progress of various ongoing development programs of the Center and the state government during a meeting with senior administrative officials, according to the press release.
