A possible launch date for the Vivo X Fold+ has been suggested by its appearance on Google Play’s list of supported smartphones. Although the announcement makes no mention of the phone’s rumored features, it does seem to validate the X Fold+ moniker. Vivo X Fold S was the speculated nickname for the smartphone in previous rumors, which a tipster has just denied.
The specs of the handset have also been rumored. The foldable phone was reportedly discovered on China’s 3C certification database and benchmarking website Geekbench.
The Vivo X Fold+ is listed under model number V2229A in the most recent list of supported devices from Google Play. According to the listing, Vivo may soon announce its foldable phone. There are no details about the specifications of the future phone in the list of Google Play compatible devices. The listing, however, confirms the Vivo X Fold+ name, which has yet to receive an official announcement.

Moreover, it is confirmed that the Android 12 operating system is already pre-installed on the device. A 48MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 48MP portrait camera with 2x magnification and an 8MP periscope sensor are among the camera features of the device. A 4,700mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging, an 8.03-inch primary display and a secondary 6.53-inch 120Hz AMOLED display are additional features.
The Vivo X Fold+ has been identified on Google Play’s list of supported devices alongside other recent smartphones, including the Vivo X Note. Unfortunately, this article doesn’t provide much other information beyond confirming the model number of this upcoming foldable phone.
This, however, implies that the launch of the smartphone is just around the corner. Additionally, there are past stories that provide details. The device was featured on GeekBench and will use Qualcomm’s most advanced Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and at least one model with 12GB of RAM.
